From 15 December 2017 the Post Office will no longer be able to accept payments to HM Revenue and Customs.
HM Revenue and Customs are encouraging all payments to be made electronically as this is seen as being more secure. Details of various methods of electronic payment can be found by going to the .gov.uk website and searching for the type of tax you wish to pay. When paying electronically it is important to ensure that you are using the correct payment reference so that the payment is allocated correctly.
If HMRC have issued you with a payslip or payment booklet it will still be possible to pay taxes over the counter at your bank or building society.
